Zoran Filipovic and Gavin Hunt slam referees
Referees in the spotlight already

The Absa Premiership is just one week old, but already the referees are coming in for some serious stick from coaches.
After SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt complained about the way Lwandile Mfiki handled their game against Bidvest Wits, Golden Arrows’ Zoran Filipovic also expressed his unhappiness about the men in the middle.
Hunt claimed that Mfiki swore at his players and also pointed out a number of decisions that he feels should not have gone their way in the 3-0 defeat, including the sending off for dissent of Brent Carelse.
“We have had two weeks of difficult decisions,” he said, also referring to his team’s loss in the MTN8.
Filipovic was also scathing after Arrows’ 2-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, saying: “Sometimes I fail to understand the referees. Kaizer Chiefs did not need his help; they are a good team and were already leading 1-0.
“I don’t know why he gave them that penalty. The match was going well and there was nothing wrong – no rough tackles – and suddenly he just gave them the penalty. What for?
That penalty was converted by Siphiwe Tshabalala to give Amakhosi a 2-0 lead.
