Carara Kicks welcome back defender Buti Ngulube to the team this season after fully recovering from a career threatened injury that he picked up more than 18 months ago.

Ngulube's career was almost cut short after his leg was broken in a tackle by Mpumalanga Black Aces defender Felix Musasa during the First Division/PSL Promotion Play-offs in 2008/9 season.

The Secuda-born defender also survived a car accident while travelling to training in the Free State yesterday.

Carara Kicks assistant coach, Jomo Ntuli says, "The boy is working hard and is not afraid of going in for tackles. It is his teammates that are trying to avoid contact as they still have memories of that injury.

"Buti is now fully fit and definitely will be challenging for team selection. He was one of the players that was involved in the car accident. Fortunately it was just a minor accident and all the players are expected to return back to training today."

Ntuli also confirmed to KickOff.com that his team has managed to retain midfielder Sihle Mbambo from Kaizer Chiefs.
