Free State Stars have decided to take their first two League home games, against Santos and Vasco Da Gama, to Botshabelo Stadium.
Explaining their decision, Ea Lla Koto management says they cannot afford to pay R40 000 per game at the Charles Mopeli Stadium.
Stars general manger Rantsi Mokoena says they had decided to take their home games to Botshabelo Stadium until the grass at the Goble Park Stadium improves.
"We cannot afford the amount that the municipality charges us for using the Charles Mopeli Stadium. What we do not understand is why the big price difference between us and a team that plays in the First Division."
Mokoena did not give figures, but a Maluti-a-Phofung communication officer Matefu Mokoena confirms that the new tariffs for the stadium were R40 000 per game for a Premier League team and R1 000 for their National First Division counterparts.
Stars will welcome Santos on Saturday at the Botshabelo Stadium.
Kick-off is scheduled at 15h00.
