Maritzburg United and Bloemfontein Celtic are set to battle it out to see who will sign Ajax Cape Town striker Diyo Sibisi.
Earlier this season United announced their intention of bringing Sibisi to Pietermaritzburg but Celtic have now joined the race to sign the striker.
Celtic are bidding to reinforce their striking department which was badly exposed during the MTN8 Cup game against Kaizer Chiefs played in Johannesburg at the weekend.
Urban Warriors CEO George Comitis confirms that his club has been flooded with offers for the services of the former Free State Stars striker.
"There has been a lot of interest shown in Sibisi. I can confirm that Maritzburg is one of the clubs interested in him and have since invited him to come and train with them for two days as Ernst Middendorp want to have a closer look at him.
"Let's wait and see what is going to happen in the next few days regarding his future in football," he adds.
