Bantwana defeated their English counterparts 4-1 on Tuesday in the first of two international friendly matches.
The match was played at the Welbech College Sports Fields in Birmingham, England and is part of the South African National Under-17 team's preparations for the Fifa U-17 Women's World Cup scheduled for September this year.
Jermaine Seoposengwe scored two goals in the first half.
Although the game intensified in the second half, Tshegofatso Makinta and captain Rachel Sebati were able to get on the score sheet with a goal each which saw the South Africans emerge victorious.
Coach Solly Luvhengo feels the girls worked really well and put up their best performance against England.
"The girls fought very hard and had the determination to succeed, hence the positive result. Although England did not qualify for the second edition of the Fifa Under-17 Women's World Cup, they were good competition for us. I made a lot of substitutions throughout the game to give other players an opportunity and also to allow me to look at various players and combinations," said Luvhengo.
The coach believes his team will perform well in the second match, but his main focus is on getting the team physically and mentally ready for the World Cup tournament.
Bantwana face England again this evening at Welbech College sportfields.
