Fischer Kondowe joins Ashley Opperman at Hanover Park

Posted: 19 August 2010 Time: 20:15

Malawi international midfielder Fischer Kondowe has surfaced at First Division Coastal Stream side Hanover Park, six weeks after Black Leopards decided against renewing his contract upon its expiry at the end of June.

Kondowe is now expected to seal a one-year deal with Park that will see him play in the Coastal Stream for the first time in his career, having previously played for Bush Bucks, Bloemfontein Celtic and Leopards in the PSL.

Leopards decided against retaining the 28 year-old to allow the dreadlocked midfielder to find better opportunities elsewhere.

Rieduwaan Anthony, the Hanover Park boss, confirms the presence of Kondowe along with several other players as he seeks to strengthen his team that has battled in the lower half of the league since gaining promotion to the First Division three years ago.

Also arriving at the Cape Town club is the duo of Ashley Opperman and Marvin Bean, who were offloaded by Vasco da Gama last week, while Abram Molekoa has returned to the club after spending the past season at African Warriors.
