Ikechukwu Uche to miss half of new season

Uche to miss half of new season

Posted: 2010-08-01 10:44

Real Zaragoza will feel like they have another new signing in five to six months time, but will be left rueing a loss between now and then as their Nigerian striker Ikechukwu Uche has been ruled out for half of the season, according to Marca.

Zaragoza signed the striker from Getafe last year but he suffered a serious knee injury right at the start of the season and played no further part in their great escape from relegation.

The news that he will again miss a large proportion of the season will be a real blow to the side, who are very much short on strikers.

On THursday he was admitted to hospital for surgery and complications with his ligaments mean he could be out for up to six months.

We mourn with you Real.... But we mourn for our great brother too. Uche is a jewel, so please give him the time and patience to come back. Believe me, he will be contributive to your progressive campaigns when he is finally fit. Let us all pray for our brother forum guys...

http://mynigeriannews.blogspot.com/2010/08/give-us-this-day-u20-women-world-cup.html

Eric: 2010-08-01 15:01

FIFA U-20 WWC Final just kicked off.

Eric: 2010-08-01 15:12

the nigerian goal keeper is very weak when it comes to aerial *****. She does ball-watching in aerial *****, unfortunately she wasn't lucky this time around.

Eric: 2010-08-01 15:29

good ball control so far from our girls.

Eric: 2010-08-01 15:35

Did anyone observe that nigeria's no.11 (Gloria Iroka) has excellent ball control, great skills and plays like Jay-Jay Okocha.

Eric: 2010-08-01 15:37

If she was a man, there will definitely not be any chance for Mikel and co. ....LOL. I'm dam serious !!

Eric: 2010-08-01 15:47

Half time

Eric: 2010-08-01 16:37

The coach should tell the girls to start shooting from outside the box.

KidKudu7: 2010-08-01 16:47

These under 20 ladies look like the under 40's...No wonder they're losing today to the German gals!!!

KidKudu7: 2010-08-01 16:50

German 2 - Old ladies 0.

Eric: 2010-08-01 16:55

congrats girls.
I guess some stupid people are happy now that you have lost, because if you had won, they would come on this site and say that it is age cheat.
Africa are proud of you, our golden falconets.

Segun: 2010-08-01 16:57

at least it was not a one-sided affair you would have loved to see. No shame coming second to the Germans.

Eric: 2010-08-01 16:59

@KidKudu7, you are simply an idiot. Do you think if Nigeria were older that they would have gotten to the finals? Where were you when they beat England, Japan, USA and Colombia? Your name is ******* !!!

Bona: 2010-08-01 16:59

Congrats super Falconets, you girls did a great job.

Marvel: 2010-08-01 17:00

What a game and what a performance! Am proud of our girls. They were not disgraced neither were they cowed into easy submission. Germans played home and our girls made themselves worthy opponents to them. For those who call these girls under 40s and mothers, be blessed. As a Nigerian, am proud that our mothers and under 40s can run and play and put Africa's name in the map of the world for good reasons. Unfortunately, under 40s and mothers of people like KidKidu play dirty game HIV/AIDS. They only bring shame to Africa.

Congrats Nigeria!

Noel: 2010-08-01 17:03

@kidkudu7 you are another regular comedian. you should have gone to specsavers.

Luv4afro : 2010-08-01 17:07

@kidkudu7 u need and want attention, but u not gonna get it here...i wonder if u can even kick an orange.enemy of progress.
u re one of those that want nothing gud 4 Africa in as much as it not 4 ya f**kng folks.u ll 4ever b morally and intellectually enslaved.better believe in urself and Africa.stop d notion that nothng gud can happen here, thatz d stereotype on SA b4 d WC.

oscar : 2010-08-01 18:12

I was not disappointed, so were Nigerians. Congrats girls, you did not disappoint us. You are champions.

Nero: 2010-08-01 18:58

I found my joy in your determination and fighting back sprite to win. Some days are like that. Just know that Nigerians’ and well meaning Africa’s are proud of you girls. Congratulations!!

Nero: 2010-08-01 19:01

Please @ Eric or any one else with news on Hartland & Eyimba?

Dee: 2010-08-01 19:07

@ Eric, you are right!! i love the way Gloria Iroka plays. Good ball control, vission, and dribbling skills. I hope he matures into a complete footballer. The future is bright for falcones.
@KidKudu7, if the falcones are under 40, what would you call the germans?

Banana : 2010-08-01 19:54

Nigeria, stop praising mediocrity

Segun: 2010-08-01 20:20

@Nero, not a good weekend for Nigeria, Enyimba 3 0 Zanaco and Enyimba is out on aggregate. Heartland lost by a lone goal yesterday. Enyimba players only have themselves to blame. They went AWOL after clinching the league forgetting that they have a date in the confederation cup.

Noel: 2010-08-01 20:33

regarding the falconets: all the negative people on this forum should remember with all the poor infrastructures, bad planning, corruption and everthing that comes with it, those girls gave a good account of themselves throughout the tournament and against a german team with everything put in place for them. I am proud of my country NIGERIA so all you haters from other parts of the world can go F**k yourselves.
