'Finish off Enyimba'

Zambia's High Commissioner to Nigeria Alexis Luhila has urged Zanaco to finish off Enyimba in Sunday's CAF Confederations Cup third round return leg match.

Luhila said from Lagos on Wednesday that there is no excuse for Zanaco to fail to qualify for the Confederations Cup group stage.

Zanaco thrashed Enyimba 4-0 in Lusaka on July 17.

"It will not be easy for Enyimba to beat Zanaco 5-0. President Banda and the 11 million Zambians are expecting nothing but victory. When the boys will be on the pitch they will be representing Zambia and not Zanaco," said Luhila, who led embassy staff to welcome Zanaco on Wednesday.

Luhila said he is looking forward to seeing Zanaco being crowned Confederations Cup champions.

He said it is time Zambian teams made a mark in African club football.

Enyimba coach Felix Ermodi says the match against Zanaco looks insurmountable but he is confident the Nigerian champions will come out smiling.

Emordi said in an interview from Aba yesterday that his team is not new to this kind of situation, citing the 6–1 defeat to Egyptian side Ismaili before winning the 2004 Champions League.

"We in Enyimba have erased the word impossibility from our vocabulary long time ago this philosophy has seen us through…this match against Zanaco cannot be an exception."

Useless comment! If you've got nothing to say, go and sleep. It's not an age group competition... what as that got to do with the story. Even if your claims are right, John Terry of chelsea is his age or Bayern's Arjen Robben? Just try and form a new life style and stop castigatini the good.

Ichiban or what do you call yourself, I am very sure you are not a Nigerian. It is also possible you are not an African but an African cannot make this kind of stupid statement. When America wins, they are not over-aged, when the Germans win, they are not over-aged, when Brazil win, they are not over-aged, but when Nigeria win, they are over-aged. You must know that anyone who rejoices when others cry or cries when others are celebrating will never see success at all. DO YOU THINK AN OLD WOMAN CAN PLAY SOCCER? If you like accept, if you like, do not accept, THE TRUTH IS THAT NIGERIAN WOMEN ARE GREAT. Try them....

Ichiban or whatever your name is ! people like you are the ones that spoilt Nigeria and Africa as a whole. If you dont see anything good coming out of Nigeria, then just keep your negative thought within yourself and let it continue bothering you forever.(Abbeyg FL.USA)

The Falconets worry me as the South Africans moaned to Fifa about them being age cheats a few months ago and its the first time that SA have ever done that so there must have been a valid issue.

What worries me is that if there are age cheats and they get found out then we look shocking in the worlds eyes again and can never be trusted then we keep going downhill..

Udeme: 2010-07-30 20:09

@ichiban, for your information, Enyimba won the champions league in 2003 and 2004, and Heartland once played the final match. Did they use over age players? If you don't have any sensible contribution here just get off this site.
