Rajevac agrees to stay with Ghana

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has agreed on a four-year deal for Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac to stay on as Black Stars coach, a highly-placed source within the federation has told Ghanasoccernet.

The deal will be sealed before the Serbian manager's contract runs out as the GFA seeks to retain the manager who steered the Black Stars to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

According to the source who asked to remain anonymous, the deal will see Rajevac lead the Black Stars to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with the mandate of helping the country to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

Even though both parties have agreed the deal, other small details will be discussed in the coming days as Rajevac is expected to return to post in two weeks' time.

His first assignment since the World Cup will be in the middle of next month as the Black Stars will play South Africa in a friendly in Johannesburg.

Rajevac will monitor some new players for the Black Stars before heading off to Johannesburg for the friendly that will prepare his side for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which starts in September.

Meanwhile, media reports in South Africa say that Safa has asked for guarantees that Ghana will not send a second rate side for the international and have stipulated that the Black Stars squad must comprise players who qualified for the World Cup quarter-finals.

According to a Sapa report, Safa CEO Leslie Sedibe said: "Ghana appeared quite happy to agree to this condition, so we do not expect any complications in this respect."

Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane is expected to announce the names the players he intends calling up next week.

Good for Ghana. SAFA ba nnyela, they shouldnt even dictate to the GFA which players they should bring. Ghana will choose whatever player they deem good to beat us.

this SAFA is a real joke, how to tell ghana what to play, Ghana is in business, now they prepare for 2012/14, players played in 2010 are gone, they need more exposure for boys to play in 2012/14,so they advice Ghananias about their stupidity for SA, these fools they think they will play mokoena , gaxa , Mphela in 2014.

Ghana knew about 2010 they played under 20 in Angola, SA was moaning why they play young boys look where they are.

We can bring the under 20s and still beat BB, even bring the under 23s and still beat BB, or even the under 19 so that BB can draw with them.

I say we... because during the WC I adopted Ghana as my soccer country after I had divorsed SA, I SA by birth, but I am a Black St*r by national soccer.
Shapa Black St*rs Shapa!!!
