Batau to contest Mashaba claims

Batau FC are ready to take midfielder Tebogo Mashaba to the Dispute Resolution Chamber in an effort to prove that he belongs to them, claiming that he renewed his contract with them in April.
Mashaba is currently the centre of controversy after he joined University of Pretoria, claiming that he was a free agent and that his contract with Batau had expired last season.
“My contract with Batau expired at the end of last season and it is not true that I renewed it with them. I have made a decision to join Tuks and I am not to change my decision. That’s all I am saying,” Mashaba told KickOff.com after training with AmaTuks in Pretoria last week.
However, Batau CEO Matsimela disputes this
“Mashaba signed new contract with us in April. He also told us that he was having problems with his manager before going home at the end of last season.
“We have been waiting for him to pitch up at training but have now heard that he is training with University of Pretoria. He can’t play for any team without getting clearance from us and that’s not going happen. We will go to the DRC to prove that belongs to us after renewed his contract in April.”
