Parreira leaves South Africa

Posted: 2010-07-28 13:40

Carlos Alberto Parreira left South Africa on Wednesday at the end of his contract with Bafana Bafana, headed for his home in Rio de Janeiro.

He had been forced to stay in the country until the end of his deal with the South African Football Association, spending the time after Bafana Bafana's World Cup elimination to watch the rest of the tournament and do some commercial work for sponsors adidas.

He also completed a report that the SAFA chief executive officer Leslie Sedibe had demanded.

Parreira was sent off at the airport this morning by his successor, Pitso Mosimane.

Parreira broke down in tears at the end of the World Cup campaign when describing the enjoyment of working at the helm of Bafana Bafana.

He is now being courted by the Brazilian federation as a possible future technical director and by Corinthians, who want him to replace Mano Menenzes, last week named as the new Brazil coach.

Hamba kanjalo ! Thanks for going

Chi: 2010-07-28 13:49

Go well Old man! Inspite of what pipo may say, I agree with Ted Dimitru that you were one of the few national coaches for SA who made a difference in terms of the best playing style that suited the small 'bodied' and fast plus creative Mzanzi players. We salute your efforts Sir Parreira and chose to remember the good things that you did and not the bad! Go well and enjoy your chelete. YOu deserved it. (unlike santana...)

hamba uyozitika ngemali yethu... good luck parreira, i can see some progress from our boys. u tried ur best, u were so unlucky not to get into the 2nd round.

Marlon: 2010-07-28 13:50

Hamba Kahle coach, thank you for teaching ignorant South African the way forward in our football. You were worth every penny, and we actually got a bargain. Some people will say you are a failure, because Bafana didn't progress to the next round, but what they don't realise is that the best coach in the world cannot coach u18 kids to win the PSL. If SAFA and the PSL impliment your recommendations we have a great future, if not, we will continue to be LOSERS.

I thought he was gone...Leslie Sedibe demanded a report...what is he going to do with it?

Breaking news !!!

After revealing that there’s few clubs in Europe interested in the services of Simphiwe Tshabalala, Fickoff news can confirm that Pirates will be losing some of their regular players before the start of this PSL season

Deadly strikers duo: Siphelele Mthembu & Thulasizwe Mbuyane are also on a wanted list of Spanish giant Real Madrid
Kathlego “4th official” Mashego & Lebogang “Zama-zama’ Mothibantwa : Man U are still negotiating with Pirates and “Fergie” is hoping the deal will be completed before the start of the season so that these 2 players should join their teammates in their pre-season camp in North America
Rooi “Phuzekhemisi” Mahamutsa & Mlungisi “Mali ye pension” Gumbi for AC Milan , done deal and all that was left to organize was the transfer of the money to the club’s bank account
Benson “Maternity leave” Mhlongo & Thuso Phala = for Chelsea

Undisputed Reigning Champ Mopheme (( All Trophies )): 2010-07-28 14:13

Go well Carlos, at least you left us with a team that have an identity. Some people will say you left with our money but you worked for it ke taba ya bona eo.!! Our guys no longer run like headless chickens in the field of play. Good luck.!!

Take it easy baba...its like 1 stress gone and now we have to deal with Pipitso with his staff nyobing.....hehehehehe!!!!

MidoValdo: 2010-07-28 14:22

Surely i won't miss u madala, but seing Pitso will remind me of u...... F***K u SAFA for keeping these failures in our nationa structure.....continuation se voet...........

BrokeFan: 2010-07-28 14:44

Mission accomplished, there goes Parreira the man who came here broke like me but left a millionaire leaving behind the likes of me even more broke than he found me...

SIBUSISO: 2010-07-28 14:48

KING: 2010-07-28 14:35

Kwenzakalani manje ngo Gugu Marawa.......she seems to quite or u-Pipitso paid manje. hehehehheehehe!!!

maybe no Parreira was still here to get his share of the lady.Phela ngisho ngoba his (Parreira)'s wife is some how sick so after BB exit, he should have gone home.

Wonder why the team manager was suspended, phela u-Gugu lo looks like she was intimidating every one.

SIBUSISO: 2010-07-28 14:52

KING: 2010-07-28 14:47will

Aaaaron,Mphela and Gaxa follow in their mentor's footsteps

If you see Aaron with another scar on his face, then yazi ukuthi u-Pipitso has succeeded. As for Mphela no Gaxa......bayabadlela labo

KaMashobana: 2010-07-28 14:56

Say that again Brokefan: madala came here completely broke, was a millioneier in less than a month. When he thoght he was reach he bolted...leaving bahind his cousin (Satana) to take care of the business. When he realised that the cousin was now violating some of the contractual agreements, he sent him home so that azibambele mathupha.
Now that mission is accomplished (hope this time for ever) he recommends a man (Pitso) who he rejected when he was recommended by SAFA to to be his assistant, opted for an unknown fellow Brazilian!!!!!!!

Wonder who earns more now: between the head coach and his assistant.Your guess is as good (bad) as mine. Mr coach to took us yards backward and tell us that BB did the nation proud...my foot!

Smallicious : 2010-07-28 15:25

Credit must be given where is due.
And this men deserve some,
Only a fool can deny the fact that BB has improved under the services of this man in terms of playing good futbal.
we were just unlucky not to make it into the second round of the WC.
Hamba kahle Coach.

Busani: 2010-07-28 15:33

Mzansi Football and KickOff.com, you guys are real monkies, you are more like spies not journalists...

So you saw Mr. Parreira leaving, did you ask him about a report that he said will give to the nation regarding Fernandez, Sdudla McCarthy and some chicks they were trying to sneak through to their hotel room during the WC preparations??? He said he will report back to us after the tournament as to exactly what happened and you monkies let him off the hook...

Fakude, quite fiddling with your private parts, calling Shabalala for rumours and call that garbage a scoop, get out there and get us real stories...

BrokeFan: 2010-07-28 15:54

Parreira is a con-artist... He conned us big time. If you are a smooth talker like him, you will make it anywhere. He promised to take us beyond group stages of the World Cup and we gave him millions. We never reached the knock out stages and yet the whole country is singing high praises of him. This man is a very good con artist, he smooth talked the whole nation and everybody is convinced his failure to deliver is actually a good job. I wanna be like you Mr Parreira, I am applying for the Swaziland coaching job. I will promise them a spot in the 2014 World Cup Brazil

KidKudu7: 2010-07-29 09:56

Mr. Editor,

Carlos Parreira promised the nation that he will give the real reasons on to why Bennie & Fernandez were dropped on the world cup squad & he said he provide that report before going to OR Tambo airport.

You have failed to track him so he can give us answers on that, whats wrong with Mr. Editor?? Some time back, I requested that you should ensure that you get that story for us.

I'm really dissapointed with you on this failure.
