Fernandez wants out of Bielefeld

Former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez has asked to leave Armenia Bielefeld in Germany and the club is likely to grant his request.
Disclosing this to Kicker.com, the Westphalians' coach Christian Ziege said that the South African minder had expressly asked for regular game time.
"Because we cannot guarantee this wish for him, we will not put any stones in his way," Ziege added.
Fernandez missed making the Bafana Bafana World Cup squad because Carlos Alberto Parreira deemed him not fit enough.
Fernandez, who moved to Germany in 2007, suffered a cruciate ligament tear that curtailed his appearances for the German club prior to him being called up.
Although Fernandez has been with Arminia for three years, he only made 18 full starts.
He was also plagued by injuries while under coach Ernest Middendorp while he was at Bielefeld.
