After only a week since arriving at Orlando Pirates, Bucs players are already singing the praises of fitness trainer Japhet Borges.
True to his word that he will be hands on in terms of running the club this season, Orlando Pirates boss Irvin Khoza made a surprise signing last week when he brought in Borges who had bought himself out of contract from Moroka Swallows recently.
"He is top class! Since he arrived there is a big difference. His training methods are very exciting," were some of the comments made by players after their training session yesterday.
"Without undermining the technical team which has also being doing a wonderful job in terms of fitness, this guy knows his story very well. There is no doubt that his presence will do wonders for the team this season," said another.
Borges impressive work since arriving at Pirates could be good news for midfielder Benson Mhlongo who is racing against time to be fit for the new season.
Mhlongo suffered a serious knee injury last season which also saw him miss out in being part of Bafana Bafana's World Cup squad.
