NFF suspend Ojo Oba, others

Posted: 2010-07-26 20:19

NFF Secretary General Bolaji Ojo-Oba has been asked to proceed on ‘compulsory leave’ by the executive committee of the federation following a board meeting on Monday in Abuja.

Ojo Oba is the most high-profile casualty of a house-cleaning campaign being embarked upon by the new board led by Aminu Maigari following the sacking of Sani Lulu.

Mrs Saidat Adegoke, Head of Administration, and Sunday Okhai, Head of Referees Unit, are two key administrative officials also asked to join Ojo-Oba on ‘compulsory leave’, while Chief Media Officer Ademola Olajire has been suspended indefinitely.

Executive Committee member Obinna Ogba, who announced the decision, explained that Ojo-Oba had not gone on leave since being employed by the federation, but sources within the board told KickOffNigeria.com that the current leadership believe his loyalties lie elsewhere.

Olajire's offence was tied to a mix up in the national anthems during the African Youth Championship qualifier at the National stadium in Abuja on Saturday.

Assistant Secretary General (Administration) Musa Amadu has been asked to deputise for Ojo-Oba, who is not expected to return, while Robinson Okosun will take Olajire's place.

Is Maigari not part of the Lulu gang? He should hand himself to the EFCC since he was incharge of finance in the Lulu led gang. I think an outsider should come and clean the broken Glass House. This Maigari window dressing is doubly fake.

If Aminu Maigari was responsible for finance matter under Lulu the he must also go. He can not tell Nigerians he was not part and parcel of the fraud that took place in the NFF. Maigari must go

Good riddance to bad rubbish. I am sure he has been fighting for Lars so that their tithe would continue to be paid. GOD NO DEY SLEEP. ONE BY ONE, THEY WOULD LEAVE OUR FOOTBALL

What a good news, this man(Ojo-Oba)is worse than Lulu.Even Maigari will leave soon.I smell something good in future.

Marvel: 2010-07-27 02:57

@ tituyu this is why Maigari should go...this is culled from Guardian Newspapers Nigeria:

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday froze three bank accounts belonging to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in its ongoing probe of allegations of financial impropriety and misconduct brought against officials of the federation.
The said accounts spread in three banks contain $6 million, $2 million and N144 million respectively. EFCC’s Head of Media, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the development but did not give details of the banks where the accounts are domiciled.
However, he confirmed that former president of the NFF, Sani Lulu, former vice-president, Amanze Uchegbulam, and former chairman, Technical Committee, Taiwo Ogunjobi, were at the commission yesterday to answer questions over their alleged complicity in a multi-billion fraud in the NFF.
Embattled Secretary General of the NFF, Bolaji Ojo-Oba, who has been sent on compulsory leave, was also at the EFCC. Acting Chairman of the federation, Aminu Maigari, was yesterday also summoned by EFCC. A source said that Maigari also has questions to answer, having been the chairman of the Financial Committee.
The Guardian learnt that they are all to answer to alleged fraud and mismanagement of NFF funds. They allegedly mismanaged billions of naira, which include $125,000, $250,000, N34 million, $400,000, with the stolen $236,000 added to the alleged mismanaged funds.

I use to tell friends,When the consciousness speaks the law receives and executes.Maigari is in the same boat with Ojo Oba,they insisted of largerback to come back so they will be able to continue with thier rotting scams.EFCC,Our football future is determined,to a very great extent,by what you do now.Dont count Maigari out.

woo you guys are disturbing my peace with these your stories of criminals in the glass house... Is it until Super Eagles flopped with messiah lager back b/4 you remembered that lulu and co are embezzling funds…

Any way everything would have been in the cooler had it been Nigeria managed to qualify to the Quarter finals or semis….

Then even 1 billion dollars was stolen no one would have bothered …

Pls let us hear word jare …

If Siasia had been installed as coach with his olympic boys (who by all standard were far better than the now Ghanaian boys) immediately after the olympics by now we would have gotten a team or allow Amodu ride with his luck at least he would have qualified us from that group..

Then the lust of white man’s dollars commision lead to all this with some forunmites falling prey to NFF antics of tactical incompetence of the nigerian coach …

Some of those noise making columnist demanding for a white man have now gone into cooler with anarchy looming everywhere just like I had predicted b/4 amodu’s sack and subsequently ban by KON until after the world cup when my comments were then re-activated...

I wish to see the face of a certain Mr. DUDU ORUMEN..(SOCCER OFFICIONADO or what do they call him).

That man has never allowed any one in this country drink water with his white man being better than siasia, amodu , eguavon, chukwu and co....(these black coaches won bronze and silver in their various quest)

The white men only ended up renaming our teams...super chiken(vogts in Ghana nations cup) and ..Fifa's miss of the tournament( by messiah lagerback)

The same miss Fatkubu did at Angola and we were told the black coach went with tired legs.

Today after similar misses NFF say lagerback is rebuilding a black man's damaged team...when another local coach in Egypt has gone with 3 nations cup in a roll after being in charge for 7 years.

SIASIA MAY GOD GUIDE YOU IF EVENTUALLY INSTALLED..

UP FALCONETS
UP falconet black coach
