Ayanda Dlamini walked away with AmaZulu’s Player of the Season award at Usuthu’s prize-giving ceremony in Durban at the weekend.

The function, held at the posh King’s Club, saw Litha Nqabi named Player's Player of the Season and Mbongeni Mzimela as the Most Improved Player. The Development player award winner went to Mpumi Mkhize.

Usuthu also honoured their Under-17 Team as the Development Programme Team of The Season.

And in Cape Town, Santos defender Wayne Arendse walked away with top honours when the People’s Team held their annual end-of-season awards.

Arendse picked up the Players’ Player of the Year Award as well as the Player of the Year Award. Tyren Arendse also achieved the distinction of being voted the club’s Sportman of the Year for the second consecutive year.

The Nazmie Bardien Award went to ‘Boebie’ Schloss, while the Chairman Award was handed to Thandokazi ‘Vicky’ Jiyani. Shafeeq Arendse was named Most Promising Player of the Year, while Thabiso Ntloana picked up the Rookie of the Year award.
