While Bloemfontein Celtic technical director Mich d’Avray says striker Moses Spandeel was put on the transfer list at his own request, the Klerksdorp-born striker is claiming that he has been forced out of Phunya Sele Sele.
D’Avray told KickOff.com last week that Spandeel, together with Mark Mayambela, had requested that they be put on transfer, but the 30-year-old striker tells a different story and expresses disappointment about leaving the club that he has grown to love so much.
“I am disappointed because I was looking forward to continuing with my career at Celtic and becoming a legend in the Celtic jersey, but the management has its own ideas,” he says.
“It is sad to leave the club that I have grown to love but this is football and life goes on. I am not sure where I will be playing in the new season, but I am hoping my manager will come back to me on that one sometime this week.”
Mayambela passed his medical test on Friday and is now set to officially become a member of the Buccaneers.
