Moses Spandeel denies Mich d'Avray claims

Spandeel claims he was forced out

Posted: 2010-07-26 09:57

While Bloemfontein Celtic technical director Mich d’Avray says striker Moses Spandeel was put on the transfer list at his own request, the Klerksdorp-born striker is claiming that he has been forced out of Phunya Sele Sele.

D’Avray told KickOff.com last week that Spandeel, together with Mark Mayambela, had requested that they be put on transfer, but the 30-year-old striker tells a different story and expresses disappointment about leaving the club that he has grown to love so much.

“I am disappointed because I was looking forward to continuing with my career at Celtic and becoming a legend in the Celtic jersey, but the management has its own ideas,” he says.

“It is sad to leave the club that I have grown to love but this is football and life goes on. I am not sure where I will be playing in the new season, but I am hoping my manager will come back to me on that one sometime this week.”

Mayambela passed his medical test on Friday and is now set to officially become a member of the Buccaneers.

A shocker! Anyway to be honest, Spandeel has never reached the same heights of yesteryear when he started his career at Celtic.

I'm sure Mich hinted this to the rest of the technical team to say this player who's been with Celtic since forever but is adding very little if any much value to the team anylonger.

And I must say that I agree with Celtic's decision, now Chiefs can pounce! Nayi i-bananakar Bobby gova ke it's a freebee!!

Now this is the nonsense I cannot understand. Da Gama started by putting this guy on the bench last season in order to give his son Walaza more game time. Everytime Spandeel came in he would much better in 20 mins than what Walaza was soing the entire game.

Now they are kicking him out of the team. This is nonsense. I think Da gama is getting too comfortable now. I hope he is playing to win the league.

Mayembela is a Buccaneer already. Kickoff are behind with news. Mayambela's deal involve Chenene not Tlou as previously reported by Kickoff.

Spandeel is finished, he was a good player expecially against Kaizer Chieps and Pirates.

I have said it when the long serving Kleinbooi Taaibos left this team that there is a problem in the technical team. I think D'avray is messing up this team like Ted and Trott doing the same to Sundowns. I say let the witch-hunt begin before the league re-opens...

Too average for Chloorkop. Let Celtics give him his clearance for Chimps to pounce
