Siphiwe Tshabalala set to join Steaua Bucharest

Shabba set for Romania move

Posted: 2010-07-23 08:44

Siphiwe Tshabalala has been linked with a move to Steaua Bucharest in Romania in a deal that could earn Kaizer Chiefs R5-million.

Steaua coach Victor Piturca said negotiations with Chiefs were complete, and all that was left to organise was the transfer of the money to the club’s bank account after which Tshabalala would get on a plane for the Romanian capital.

Tshabalala is expected to fly to Romania in the next days to join up with his new team, but will likely miss the start of their new season on Saturday.

The left-wing can also look forward to playing in European club competition this season after Steaua finished fourth in the last Romanian League campaign.

Steaua have qualified for the UEFA Europa League and will enter the competition at the play-off stage next month, along with clubs like Aston Villa, Manchester City, FC Porto and PSV Eindhoven.

Steaua were the first east European side to win the European Cup, succeeding in a penalty shootout in 1986.

Tshabalala’s impending departure from Chiefs comes as no surprise after his World Cup heroics. He made his name with the cracking goal against Mexico in the opening game of the tournament last month. He had been linked to clubs in England, France and Turkey, but Steaua have come in as a surprise package.

HAVE YOUR SAY: Is this the right move for Shabba?

Thanx Chiefs for letting our players spread their wings and explore new hights in their careers....
For Shaba I think it is best to be exposed to Europe coming from those leagues and gain more europian experience before you opt for the bigger leagues...
I wont help your course to go warm A.r.s.e.nal bench....

Those of who want to believe this story must please go n buy wednesday copy SOCCERLADUMA and read what they say about Zimbabwean players at Sundowns. The treatment they were given and the promises that were broken.Apparently Sundowns promised to pay them good wages, but only to give them R2500 per MONTH.

Luckily for me i have contacts with the agent who gave Laduma the story, those of you who want to know what he said must just give me their e mail adresses i will send them the extract of the story directly.

ha ha ha ha !!!that of course will show you which team is desperate !!!!

Quiet correct mi man, but we need to be very clever who to groom like that, nt all our players must be nurtured like that since they differ, a player like Shabba for me would be better for a very small team that ended no 4 from below in the EPL/LaLiga/SerieA then within 2yrs he will be matured. Players like Yeye,Khuboni,Khumalos can go to Romania to establish themselves in the world f/ball

Those players are still in the country one was in hiding after 2010 world cup. Chiefs won't reveal the figures for the deal but I'm sure if the offer is right Shaba will be released. @ Naturena players are there to be groomed prepaired for tougher challenges. They don't have to change their agents or boycot training cause there is no better deals available!

Now I understand why Sunflops said "NO" to the offer for Gaxa,Players must stop rushing to play in Europe because within a season they just dissapeared,In the World Cup how many players we had plying their trades with overseas teams look Nomvete it had helped him to come back home and play our domestic soccer he started to be Bhele who was known before going abroad.
Who said that European clubs play better soccer than us in Africa,we have to take out this mentality of thinking that something that is abroad is better than with what we have here in Africa. Now we need to show them that we do have our own Gods talent.Let us learn to be proud with what we are.Khoza and Motsepe did well by sanctioning this Europe teams by not giving them Gaxa and Motsepe respectively.

Look Tso,Rhee,Siyabonga Nkosi,Carnell ,Fernandez,Stanton Fredericks to name a few they went abroad when they were in peak of their perfomance, after that they got rusty and they were loaned from one team to another. Not all players will succeed in Europe like Rhoo,Pienaar and Benny.

FAct remains, no one can outplay Khosi when it comes to success, teh success that filters down to teh players, the supporters and the whole family.
Kaizer said we dont stand in the players way if they r willign to accept ofers from abroad. Monay is not the issue, teh success of the team is seen in its ability to let go of those that make it a success, yet it reamins a success even afterwards and beyond. Chiefs has demonstrated that over and over again hence today it is the yardstick of success to all Clubs in Mzantsi and Africa at Large.

We must be mindfull that overseas clubs are very mindful about buying these dys because most of them are swimming in debts. A player who manages to go abroad these days must consider himself very lucky, or special like Shabba is, hehehe.
As for Teko he must just forget. Teh reason Mokoena and Bennie ramins in europe is precisely the fact that clubs wants to rather take a desperate experienced player than take a risk with an expensive unknown.

So motto mouth respond before you read King, and the out of sorts Tivani, hang on to your jealousy because fact remains ,Shabba is going overseas, that is called progress, while your darlings remains here, no progress.

You clutching at straws my friend and you know it. Who can be inspired by a team that has only won 2 Championships in 2 decades? remove the blinkers and see reality man, Chimps is only successful to those miners that do not even understand the term, but realistically, they are anything but successful. this type of illusion is borne of the desease called "self importance" where you only measure yourself with your own standard. like i said, Chimps is anything but successful, not even by Swaziland standards. teams around the globe are measure by their success in winning and defending the championship, and that a global measure, not by winning 3 or 4 games cup competition that only require luck, referees mistakes (deliberate or genuine) or 2 month form.

As for Shabba being a success by moving to Romania, thats another slave mentality right there. where on earth have you ever heard of a top player moving to Romania? its no different to moving to Cyprus or Taiwan. remove the blinkers my friend.........Bwahahahahaha, Romania? R5 million? Bwahahahahaha

Today you have exposed yourself. Just lyk King, Tivani & Nosi I don't think you've ever played football (but that is fine, it's not a must that you must be a player in order to support), if you did then you weakest link in your team. I am soccer fan because I played futbal, I don't rely on castro index that count useless pass nor google or any statistics, Ibhola ndiyayazi. I'm not that type of a fan who rubbishes evrthng done by teams that I don't support. I'm a foothball fan not a player fan that's why you will never hear me praising a single player.

Shabba is the best left winger in Mzantsi!

Shabba is the best left winger ku-Jeyes Fluid, Jeyes Fluid!

And Shabba has proved it by scoring the 1st goal in the WC for Shibhoshi Shibhoshi!

This is proof that I am a fair individual and will surely put me in Dikotsi's good books.

International scouts always wait for big stage tournaments to like the Confed/ world cup to test how good African players are. Anybody who does not smoke the weed could see that other than the goal (mind you any player can score) Shabba did absolutely fokol.

The boy would be better-off in France----not Romania!!!I also think the prize tag of 5M is ok for such an average player.

People should be realistic here, our players are not world class,so dont be suprised if they get offers from those "small leaugues"(Romania,Israel,Bulgaria etc) because thats overseas anyway?and thats where they want to go,Gaxa is one example here,Consider this,if a club from these "big leaugues"(England,Spain,Italy etc) is looking for an attacking left winger, who will they go for between Ayew(on loan) and Shabba, taking Castrol WC statistics(passes completed, defensive play etc) into consideration, the answer is there for everyone to see.Lastly,I see people are talking about that first goal,Ayew didnt score a single goal in the WC but he is far better than most of our ATTACKING players.Mphela scored a good goal in the Confed Cup,what happened after that?only one player got an offer from that squad,i.e KG.

Mara how did Kaizer make a son like this:
This thing is nothing like his father. He’s fat, phuza-faced, forever drunk, never played soccer, does not have a woman, make wrong business deals. No wonder the other day his father was furious at him for taking a picture of Yeye and waved it at the Junior Team players (the boys had nightmares). He is a ******* of a son. Football Manager, Bobby Motaung on Friday morning laughed off reports emanating from Wikipedia website that the Phiri born midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala signed a three-year deal with English Premiership giants, Manchester United on 22 July 2010.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com at the Club HQ Motaung said Tshabalala remains at Club and fans should not be misled by media reports claiming otherwise, “Siphiwe is at camp with the rest of the players having returned to training following an extended break.

The reports linking him to Manchester United and any other club at this stage is a blatant lie. We will be calling a press conference in the next couple of days to make relevant announcements ahead of the 2010/2011 campaign,” added the perturbed Motaung.
