Dennis Onyango to agree personal terms with AmaZulu

Onyango explains Usuthu hold-up

Dennis Onyango tells KickOff.com “personal terms” could be the stumbling block to his move to AmaZulu.

While the two teams have agreed a transfer fee, AmaZulu must meet Onyango’s personal terms before a move could happen. However, the Ugandan keeper reveals there are issues regarding the financial terms that he is unhappy with that AmaZulu must reconsider before the two parties can conclude the deal.

“The two teams have agreed on everything, which means it is now left to me and Amazulu to finalise the agreement,” Onyango says.

“There is an issue relating to my signing-on-fee that we must still agree on before I can sign. My agent [Ivica Stankovic] is talking to AmaZulu about it and once we reach an agreement I will sign for AmaZulu, but at the moment I don’t know what is going to happen,” he says.

The 25-year-old is also on Orlando Pirates’ radar. However, a move to the ‘Sea Robbers’ for Onyango is unlikely as the latter seeks to play regular football, the reason he decided to leave SuperSport United.

I think it is fair for teams and their officials including player managers to inform the supporters that a certain team is gunning for a particular player. It is also annoying when you discover that a player that is sought by a team is proud to inform the public in the media that there are issues relating to his personal contractual terms that have not been settled. I do not think that is for the supporters. Why do they not come to the media and public only to announce the success and failure of registering a player rather than boasting of personal wants that do not necessarily help the supporters. What we want to hear is that a certain player has been registered with success without the public having heard of the stumbling blocks in signing or registering the player. This is what makes the player to be booied when he fails to perform because we know what he has been offered. He has been granted all what he wanted.
