Jabu Mendu to boost United FC

Mendu gets lifeline at United FC

Posted: 2010-07-22 13:40

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows midfielder Jabulani Mendu is back with First Division side United FC, where he is expected to play a pivotal role in taking the team to top-flight next season.

Mendu’s return to United has come as surprise as he was put on the transfer list last season, but according to club CEO Richard Makhoba, the former Amakhosi midfielder has shown a change of attitude and they have taken him off the transfer list.

“Mendu is back and working hard at training. His attitude has changed a lot and he is more of leader in the club now,” Makhoba tells KickOff.com. “I believe if fully fit, Mendu can play big part in helping the team gain promotion to PSL next season.”

Makhoba also disclosed that United FC have invited Mozambican goalkeeper Otshudi Lama for trials.

“He has been here since last week and we are still assessing him. We have number of other trialists here and the coach is working hard to come up with best team,” he adds.

I don't think Mr Mendu has got the legs to carry him in the ever growing 1st devision league.
How old are you anyway Mr Mendu???????? If more than 32 then I dont know beacuse your soccer career is basically over..

Mendu just retire, what's wrong with your old crocks? are you broke or something? Don't you know that by signing for United FC you are depriving ayoungster an opportunity to shine? Look for young kids to coach or something man.
