Sundowns lead Charity Cup voting

Posted: 2010-07-21 11:09

After five days of voting in the Telkom Charity Cup, Mamelodi Sundowns lead the race with 7650 votes.

Kaizer Chiefs are in second spot with 6532 votes, followed by Orlando Pirates on 4580 and Bloemfontein Celtic in fourth spot with 1853 votes to their name.

The Telkom Charity Cup competition, which will be celebrating its 11 year anniversary, remains one of the flagship pre-season competitions on the South African football calendar as it gives the supporters the first glimpse of the new signings.

As the tournament slogan goes, “It is your call”, fans are encouraged to keep flooding the voting lines and make sure their respective teams are present in this historic edition of the tournament, which is making a return to the place where its first edition took place - Soccer City – on August 7.

Voting lines will close at midnight on August 1.

We at Amakhosi we don't vote twice or more, one supporter one vote and we are sure we will be there. No wonder you are in pole position, a club with 150 supporters and yet they have votes of more than 7000. I heard that the double or triple voting is the slogan at domkop, otherwise you cant make it to the top four.

Amakhosi "One vote one Supporter" Let other club sweat to be there.

SIBUSISO: 2010-07-21 12:41

This looks like sundowns will win it for wiping their tears as they did not win anything last season......hehehehe.....talking about PLASTIC CHAMPS.....ori kanjani masundowana?????

Kwaaaa! kwaaa! kwaak! Reminds me of "One settler one bullet"!....Tough times call for desperate measures indeed!

TO DOWNS ORGANISERS:

Two or more votes per organiser! Phela we must parade our Heinnekken's and Khumalo's for all to salivate at!

Downs rules!

Stonza: 2010-07-21 13:15

I have a plant for Gaxa....ask how much Sundowns wants to sell you for, then take that R4mil offered and top it up to get to what ever Sundowns is asking, then you leave...come on man, you should have the money...tht is if you didnt use your salary and bonuses from BB, Sundowns to pay for amacheri!!!!

The Sticknbkid: 2010-07-21 13:40

Hey Love & Peace supporters, let's vote. We don't spoil our history of participating in every charity cup. I have noticed the this, we relax in the beginning stages of voting, me included.

Phakz: 2010-07-21 13:53

Add 2 votes for OP as i'm still gona vote just like last year.

Moreover, you never know as you might just walk away with R10,000 from the draw. I was one of the lucky winners last year.

Phakz: 2010-07-21 13:55

Big ups to Downs supporters, it shows they love their team. They come close to OP supporters when it comes to passion for their team.

Busani: 2010-07-21 13:55

SIBUSISO: 2010-07-21 12:41

I agree with you, SunClowns, The Mine Workers, The motsepe charity case, Bafana Bastlayela might win this one....But PieCity have a proven Telkom Charity winning formula.

Otherwise Chiefs will win the more serious trophies as per their mandate, like winning MTN 8 and Telkom Knock out,ABSA Premiership and Nedbank,

K4L Since 1970.
