Former AmaZulu midfielder Bafo Biyela has surfaced at Mpumalanga Black Aces in the hope of winning a contract after cutting ties with Golden Arrows, where he spent the past six months.
Biyela had a fallout with then AmaZulu coach Neil Tovey last season and moved on to join Arrows halfway through the season.
And now his stay at Arrows has also brought no joy, forcing him to move inland to Aces, where he is now hoping to win a contract after being handed his clearance.
“At this point he is training with us and nothing has been signed as yet. It will only be after the weekend’s friendly match that the technical team will then sit down and make a decision about what happens with,” says Marc Grune, the Aces CEO.
Grune also confirms that there has been interest in several of the players that they put on transfer.
Aces have been the busiest club over the off-season, signing Joseph Henyekane from Arrows, Lethola Mofokeng from Black Leopards, Bongane Twala from Mamelodi Sundowns, Marawaan Bantam and Francis Chansa from Bidvest Wits, along with Nicholas Killas, German defender Marc Eberle, Zambian striker Lottie Phiri, Simphiwe Nkosi and Romanian goalkeeper Tiberiu Lung.
