First Division side University of Pretoria have snapped up former Orlando Pirates winger Tebogo Mashaba while they look to conclude the signing of midfielder Christopher Netshidzivhe.
Netshidzivhe was given the boot from Black Leopards where he has spent the past 10 years of his career.
Though TUKS have lost inspirational Zimbabwean skipper Obert Moyo, they have already enticed Joseph Mthombeni into extending his stay for another year and are also considering bringing in Edward Malinga.
The Steve Barker-coached team has also signed Swaziland winger Mzwandile Ndzimande from Mhlambanyatsi Rovers along with towering Zimbabwean striker Nqobile Mpala.
However, the signing of Mashaba is still giving TUKS a few headaches though the player is already training with them.
"We have signed Tebogo but there are still some issues with his previous club (Batau) regarding his last contract. The boy wants to be with us which is why he is already training with us. But I am hopeful it is things that can be rectified," says Barker.
Apparently Batau still claim Mashaba is still under contract with them and are not willing to issue his clearance.
Apart from Mashaba Barker says all looks on course.
"With regards to Malinga, we are still monitoring him because he is coming back from a long term injury. And with Chris we are looking at definitely bringing him into our team," adds Barker.
