First Division side United FC have handed defender Irvin Zwane and midfielder Clinton Sephadi their clearances after they allegedly skipped the club's camp in Kroonstad last week.
Zwane and Sephadi requested the club to release them to attend family matters in Johannesburg at the weekend only to surface at Batau FC's training on Monday.
CEO of the Free State-based club, Richard Makhoba, confirms to KickOff.com that both players have been released.
"We are very disappointed with their behaviour. They requested leave to attend family issues at home. Then we get the news that they are training with Batau FC. We have handed them their clearances without a problem so now they can go where they want to and enjoy their football."
Makhoba said their preparations for the up-coming season are going well and that they are targeting promotion to the PSL next season.
"We have brought in a new coach and all the players are responding well to his training sessions. Last season was a learning curve as it was our first campaign in the First Division and now our mission is promotion to the PSL next season."
