Biyela waits on clearance

Bafo Biyela waits on Golden Arrows clearance

Posted: 8 July 2010 Time: 07:36 am

Bafo Biyela says he is waiting to be issued with his clearance from Golden Arrows before deciding on his future.

Biyela claims he endured a controversy laden season in which he left AmaZulu for their Durban neighbours.

Though Biyela is not revealing names KickOff.com has gathered that Free State Stars are chasing after his services while Kaizer Chiefs are possibly considering him as replacement for Tinashe Nengomasha who is off to Qatar.

There is also a chance that he could return to Usuthu following the firing of Neil Tovey who was the reason why he left the club in December.

"At the moment my representatives at ProSport are handling the matter of getting my clearance from Arrows. I have read that sis Mato Madlala (Arrows boss) has said that I am going to be released and I have no qualms about that as things did not seem to be going right for me at the club.

"It is my wish to leave Arrows after all and I am glad to have also read that this is what they are also planning," says Biyela.

"When I joined Arrows I just basically continued with the contract that I had at AmaZulu which still had six months remaining. The six months ended in June but there is still an option of another year which hasn't been exercised.

"Once I have my clearance then I will be definite about which team I will then be moving to," Biyela tells KickOff.com.

@ Frans: sbali ibhola ilibuka kanjani? Have you seriously watched Bafo play, angiboni kanjalo. At arrows he had stiff competition hence the player in that position(Khuboni) was in the Bafana setup. Ngicela ubuyele kuma achirves & uzoba grand.

Am disappointed by the comments that have been made by some of the readers. I believe Bafo did well under Clive, esp when it comes to ball winning. It is noted that of late uSuthu midfield have not been playing well of late. In order to compensate that the then coach opted for long balls, instead of their usual style of short passing. I would recommend that he goes back to where he made the name for himself. It is important to check the facts and have a standard criterion to judge all the players and be consistent in doing so. Even if those players are not our favourites. Thank you.
