Its official; Steve Komphela won't be part of Platinum Stars technical team next season.

Komphela was fired by the club recently, but reports at the weekend were that the former coach was set to return back to the club following the intervention by King Leruo Molotlegi of the Bafokeng nation who allegedly was not happy about the departure of the former Bafana Bafana captain from the club.

King Leruo summoned the club management in a meeting today.

Dinaledi CEO Jason Raine confirmed their meeting with King Leruo today but refused to divulge the contents of what transpired during the meeting.

Raine, however, reiterated that Platinum Stars are still looking for a new coach to replace Komphela for the up-coming season.

"The King was a little disturbed about the media reports and wanted to meet the club management for feedback relating to other issues in the club. I can't divulge what transpired in the meeting but we will release a media statement soon," he adds.

I fully agree. How can a team consisting players that were the first to beat Al Ahly of Egypt suddenly be useless? Sapula & company have never had a history of ill discipline. Mr Steve should have tried to work his ideas in slowly and then if need be slowly phase out the older players. You do not just come in and the disreguard the 'glue' that held the team 2gether over the years! he did not even give them chance, as well as the Japanese striker that he bought. For me he eroded all the progress that stars have been making over the years and took them backwards by not building unity in his WHOLE squad. For a former coach, steve sometimes conducts himself very questionably. Good riddance.
