It looks like Orlando Pirates have beaten Platinum Stars for the services of striker Patrick Malokase, after the player confirmed that has signed Bucs.

Malokase parted ways with Celtic at the of last season.

Speaking in an interview with Kickoff.com, the former Siwelele midfielder confirmed that will be starting training with his new team tomorrow.

"I have made the decision and finally signed with one of the big teams in Gauteng. At this stage I would prefer the team make official statement about my signing with them first, before I can talk about my ambitions with the club this season.”

Orlando Pirates are set to start their pre-season tomorrow, with Malokase, Daine Klate and Clifford Ngobeni set to report to the club for the first time.

Meanwhile, both Tlou Segolela and Michael Morton have confirmed that will report for Bucs pre-season training tomorrow, despite the fact that their futures with the club are still uncertain.

Morton and Segolela spent last season on loan to both Bidvest Wits and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.
"I have still not yet been briefed about the latest developments regarding Wits’ interest to keep me this coming season," Morton confirms. "I am still contracted to Pirates and will join the team for pre-season training tomorrow."

Key positions fihgting for signatures, centreback, defensive midfielder, leftback and proven goal-scorer. In Klate, Ngobeni & Malokase, are those gaps being addressed? We need a striker who will be complemented by the systems to be applied. Dr Khoza, why keep on signing players just to be surplass to requirements?

It looks like Pieruts is after every free agent player or any player tha wants out of their teams regardless of what can they offer the team; what type of players they need and where. If this is how things are done here you are still not going to have any HAPPY TIMES.Last season you had about 50 or more players this season again you are on the market looking for winter and World cup specials I feel pity for you Nappy Pupils.

Swona (Treble): 2010-07-05 08:51

does this team have a vision?

Once a Chiefs fan always a Fool: 2010-07-05 09:01

Does Pirates need this player.???. No, I don't think so.!!!

Pirates is not 1 skipper team or Gayser Chiefs aka Family Business FC: 2010-07-05 09:28

Malokase, for what? He is just exactly the same as Irvin Mhlambi, average. He is going to score a goal in Charity Spectecular and bang you'll never hear anything about him any more. I bet with anyone in this forum, the following season he will be driving a taxi at Bara just like Mhlambi. Mafia team. Nx.

Eish maar the kaizer chimpanzees supporters are like cocroaches. They recently signed Sthembiso Ngcobo and there were no Pirates suppoters pronouncing doom on their signing. Now they are flooding this story like cocroaches who took over the kitchen. Why? I see pirates is the biggest team in Mzansi. You Chimps must watch it, you made noises when signing that fake Brazillian and what happened. How many goals did Sthembiso score this season? So stop judging other teams signings and concentrate on your cheap signings.

TrippleXXX: 2010-07-05 13:36

Some Pirates fans are emotional.
Every general and negative comment is assumed to be from Chiefs fans.
As if other teams supporters do not make comments on this site.
That's ignorance if I may call it.

KidKudu7: 2010-07-06 03:53

Eisshh, I'm a Bucs vivid fan but the signing of Malokase is crap guys. This boy was a bench warmer @ Phunya Sele-Sele but Floyd Mbele us bringing him to our ship, for what??? Only him knows case me I dont see any difference that he will contribute to the team. Poor signing indeed, period!!!

KidKudu7: 2010-07-06 03:56

Bring back that "mlungu" Michael Morton, the boy boy is very good @ that vulnarable left back position of ours. Him & Klate will make a very good combination there & also we a clinical quality striker to score goals. We can rely on Ndumiso Mabena only, he's still way too raw to be a top striker.

fire: 2010-07-15 18:50

Malokase is a good player. Free State Stars still regret letting him go to Celtics. As for warming the bench, even Pelembe does that sometimes. It depends on the coach's tctics and preferred players for that strategy. As a Sundowns supporter I think Pierats have made the most sensible signings in creating depth and strengthening the squad for the rigours ahead.
