Elia - Netherlands can reach Final

Eljero Elia believes that the Netherlands can reach the final after seeing off Slovakia 2-1 this afternoon to progress to the last-eight.
Goals from Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder in either half edged Oranje past the plucky Slovaks, setting up a quarter-final meeting with either Brazil or Chile on Friday afternoon.
Goal.com's Ewan Macdonald asked the Hamburg star after the match how far he felt the Netherlands could go with clashes against more established nations ahead, and Elia was unequivocal in his belief that the final itself could be in their grasp.
"Every team is difficult. We've come here for one thing, and that's to go to the final. How we get there, we just don't care - we only want to go to the final."
Elia once again impacted proceedings from the bench, but he admitted what is important to him is to make his presence known within the squad and take advantage of his opportunities when they arrive.
"It's a great feeling if you can play a World Cup game," he said. For me it's very important that I'm close to the squad, to the eleven. I make my minutes - not long, but the minutes that I have, I have to do well in them.
"In every game I want to score. It's impossible that I won't fight to make a goal! If the chances come in, then I will shoot!"
