Fifa is cracking down on World Cup match action being shown on stadium giant screens after replays of Argentina’s disputed first goal against Mexico fueled arguments on the pitch.

Angry Mexico players protested to referee Roberto Rosetti after the screens in Johannesburg’s Soccer City showed Argentina forward Carlos Tevez was offside before he scored the opening goal in a 3-1 victory on Sunday.

Fifa spokesman Nicolas Maingot says replaying such incidents “should not happen,” and will be more tightly controlled at future matches.

Maingot says Fifa has not yet received feedback about a mass confrontation between coaches and players behind the Mexico bench as the teams left the field at halftime.

The level of refeering error we have seen in this WC is mind boggling. like all other facets of life, soccer is developing at such a pace that humans cannot ordinarily cope without the aid of technology. Why should FIFA adopt communication gadgets for referees if they were so averse to modern technology? I think it's time for FIFA to accept he inevitable and intro goal line tech to help the refs. If that had been applied then Henry would not have scored with his hands to qualify France [good thing they were humiliated out], Argentina's goal against Nigeria and Mexico would not have stood, England's disallowed goal against Germany would have changed the complexio of their game. The time to change is now!!

This is very simple Mr. Blatter, Our Football does not need technology; it needs our players to be fair and honest, like it is proclaimed to be a FAIR PLAY game.

Examples are;

a)A player who takes a dive disadvantages players who are really avoiding strong tackles (leg braking) because they end up being booked falsely.
b)Ball to hand vs. Intentional Hand ***** causes’ confusion because the referee can only assume, only the player knows the intention.
c)Retaliation is a moment reaction which disadvantages the retaliator. Pain causes reaction – how is it different for football players, especially if the player is targeted the whole game, e.g. Messi who is kicked all the time by these cows. NX – I’m not promoting it. It’s just a thought.

A lot can be said about the mistakes that happen in football, but all can be solved by PLAYERS being HONEST.

Blessed

This must be stopped instantly, it will cause uproars. Besides, i thought this was already adopted as a rule that no replays on the screens.

IF fifa IS TRYING TO BAN THE USE OF REPLAY ON THE GIANT SCREEN AT THE STADIUM, I SEE IT AS CHEATING AND ROBBERY,AND THAT VIOLATE THE FAIR PLAY THAT FIFA PREACHES.DO THEY KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED THROUGH THOSE STUPID MISTAKES AND CORRECTABLE ERRORS.

This was not happening anymore. I'm speaking under correction here, Even our own PSL does not do it anymore. Why did it happen now? I smell a rat.

Imagine the reaction of the fans, especially if the ref was wrong? That will be chaos.
