STEVEN PIENAAR BLOG – June 10
Posted: 10 June 2010 Time: 15:50
In his second blog for KickOff.com, Steven Pienaar talks about who he rooms with and his favourites for the tournament.
A lot of people wonder how we choose players to share a room with in camp. Some of you may not know that myself and Cyril Nzama often used to room together. We always talked a lot in camp we were very close friends.
Right from the start, I always spoke with senior players to help me learn during my early days with the team.
During the Confederations Cup it was myself and Bernard Parker sharing a room, which was good fun. Sometimes I would share with Elrio van Heerden too.
Generally I like to change around. For example, I was looking forward to spending some time with younger guys like Kermit Erasmus or Daylon Claasen, but it’s up to them too (laughs).
I’m sure the day will come when the younger guys will be in camp and I can get to know them better.
Right now it’s World Cup time and I’m rooming with Bernard (Parker) again. I was with Bhele Nomvete just before this and that was good fun as always!
As for my favourites for this tournament, I think Ghana and Ivory Coast will surprise people, and Bafana too.
Maybe South Korea will surprise, but Argentina are my favourites to win! I think with all the negative press they have had, they will use this positively and add it to their great talent and might just go all the way.
Time to go focus on the match. See you later!

Police said a group of tourists from Canada, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Tanzania returned to their bus at a visit to a wine estate outside Cape Town to find nine passports, two digital cameras, a laptop and $500 cash missing. A case of theft had been opened, a statement said.
I just hope they're not going blame it on Naija as they usually do.

It was like we where waiting for Jesus to return with our ancestors, I could see Shaka,Tambo,Biko,Mashele,Martin Luther King,Kaunda,Hani and many more also blowing their Vuvuzela
To see children aged 12 and less blowing those Vuvuzela, is very touching.
