Usuthu eyeing two Botswana players

Posted: 2010-05-19 13:15

Following on their impressive performance in Cup competitions this season, AmaZulu are turning to Botswana to look for more players to beef their squad ahead of next season.

Word coming from the Usuthu camp is that that are to take a closer look at Township Rollers striker Joel Mogorosi and winger Edwin Moalosi who both impressed AmaZulu assistant coach Calvin Peterson during his visit to Gaborone recently.

Mogorosi was set to sign for Orlando Pirates few seasons ago but the deal fell down and the player returned back to rejoin Rollers.

Moalosi was named as player of the match during the Coca- Cola Cup Final between Rollers and Centre Chiefs in Gaborone the past weekend.

Speaking to KickOff.com, Peterson confirms that he was impressed by both players after watching them play.

"They are both good players and there is a possibility that we will invite them for trials later, but our main focus now is on the Nedbank Cup Final," he adds.

Sam! don't undermine players from my country. You are talking kak.See what you have covered in dat trouser, and talk something sensible. Are you from Swaziland or Lesotho?

Its a good development for both players and Botswana football which shows that its growing. However i have some reservations on Joel Mogorosi who in my own personal view lacks creativity. Edwin may also be hit by the height factor. For his height he must have some weight like bo Vilakazi otherwise he may not make it. But the fact that they have attracted interest of PSL teams is a step in the right direction. Good luck!!!
