FC Cape Town: 'Hands off Mulumba'

FC Cape Town has warned PSL teams to stop trying to poach their striker Mukendi Mulumba.

After his superb performance during the Nedbank Cup, Mulumba is being targeted by teams in the elite league who are hoping to sign him for next season.

A fuming FC Cape Town boss Errol Dicks tells KickOff.com that the Congolese striker still has a two year contract with his team and is not up for sale.

"Teams are taking advantage of the fact that he does not speak English properly and are making empty promises to him.

"Among all the teams that are interested in signing him only one team has followed the right procedure by talking directly to us.

"However, as I said, the boy has a two-year contract with us and we do not intend selling him at this moment."

Dicks also revealed the possibility of defender Francois Adams joining Vasco da Gama next season.

"We are still negotiating but the chances are high that we will release Adams to Vasco as they want to sign him for next season," he said.

It is exactly this kind of short sightedness that ruins players careers, in 2 yrs time no one will be interested in him. C'mon Dicks get off your high horse, I thought you are all about development?
