Bidvest Wits midfielder Sifiso Myeni reveals that he is overwhelmed with the prospect of being part of the first group of players to play at the World Cup Final venue, Soccer City when his team takes on AmaZulu in the Nedbank Cup Final on Saturday.
Wits beat Free State Stars 3-1 whilst AmaZulu edged out Mamelodi Sundowns on penalties to reach the Final and Myeni and the rest of the team say they can't wait to set foot in Soccer City.
"To be honest I never thought that we would reach this stage of the tournament but when we qualified for the semi-final I realised that there was great chance of us making it to the Final.
"It's going to be an exciting feeling, walking onto the pitch and knowing that this where a number of the world's biggest name players will be doing the same in few a weeks' time. We are ready as a team to win the Final and put our names in the history books as the first players to play at the Soccer City Stadium before the start of the World Cup."
Wits coach Roger de Sa said was he excited that most of his players that missed the semi final against Free State Stars on Saturday due to suspension will be back for the final game against AmaZulu.
