Bidvest Wits coach Roger De Sa is set to dig deep into his reserves to come up with a strong team for their Nedbank Cup semi-final against Free State Stars in Potchefstroom tomorrow.
Five of the Students' regular players have been ruled out of the clash against Ea Lla Koto due to suspension.
Captain Tefu Mashamaite, Patrick Phungayo and Houston Hills have joined Thando Mngomeni and Calvin Kadi who are both serving suspensions after received red cards recently.
Speaking to KickOff.com, Mashamaite confirms that he has been sidelined by the yellow card suspension and will miss the game.
"It's a big blow to lose players like Patrick Phungwayo, Thando Mngomeni and Calvin Kadi for the game, but it is good news for other players who have not seen much action this season. They need to show the coach that they deserved to have played this season.
"Preparations for the game have been going well and I am confident that the guys who would walk onto the field on Saturday will do the job for us and take the team to the finals," he says.
The Clever boys are also reported to have been promised mouth-watering incentives if they go past Ea Lla Koto and win the Nedbank Cup final at Soccer City on May 22.
Mashamaite remained cagey when KickOff.com asked him the amount of incentives.
"Its confidential and I am not allowed to reveal any information regarding that," he added.
