Durban fans get top Cup action again

Durban fans will once again get to see the top Nedbank Cup action this weekend when AmaZulu host Mamelodi Sundowns.

Usuthu’s semi-final clash against the Brazilians is set for Kings Park Stadium this weekend.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 20h15.

Free State Stars welcome Bidvest Wits to Olen Park in Potchefstroom for their semi-final. This match will kick-off at 15h00.

Sundowns beat Orlando Pirates 3-1 in the quarterfinal in Durban this past Sunday.

This will be Usuthu’s third semi-final appearance this season and they are eager to lay their hands on the trophy after nearly two decades of winning nothing.

Wits last won Cup tournaments in 1995 while Stars too last won a trophy in 1990’s.

Sundowns won the Nedbank Cup in 2007.

Ppl says Teko perform well against minnows, but freezes against top teams. I strong disagree w/ u. Which heavy game did Pienaar perform well? I remember against Germany Pienaar freeze. Then we played against minnow team Ice-land, still pienaar freeze & Teko was not around. We played against Spain in the Confd, Pienaar never help us to win. So, which top country pienaar was performing? Teko I can argue that he helps us beat Cameroon, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica which are top countries etc.

Stop saying Teko perform well against small countries, coz even Pienaar nvr help us to beat either small or big countries. This is the reality. Teko is 5x better than Pienaar. Stop crucifying Teko, he is the best. Pienaar perform well in the confederation when we beat New-Zealand 2-0 . Hehehehehehehe!!!!! New Zealand is big team nowadays?? We don’t want racist players like Pienaar and Bennie. They don’t want to represent this country with pride. Pienaar and bennie has let us down many times. As for pienaar He does not fit in the African football style, bcoz he is over carrying and diving unnecessary. He is always below average when he is playing for the Country. He fakes Injuries. I don’t remember when Piennar played 90 mins for BB. Pienaar & Bennie are racist; they don’t wana play for the country. They both, has "white tendency". No wonder Perraire don’t trust them.

However, some people say Bafana bafana tick when pienaar is playing. I strongly disagree, since when Bafana tick when Pienaar was playing? Which game was Pienaar ticking? He plays well for Everton, not for BB. Because the world cup is coming, Pienaar and Bennie want to play for Bafana. They have backstabbed us for many years. They only wana come back when there are big tournaments. I only respect Mbazo who loyal and faithfully for his country. He never tries betraying us. He responded to Bafana Bafana call anytime he was called. I won’t mind if Perraire, iignores Pienaar and Bennie. In actually fact he must use the squad that plays friendlies with Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Jamaica etc for the world cup. He can only play one overseas player “Mbazo”. It is better will loose with these faithful players, than with traitors like Pienaar and Bennie.

I won’t be surprise when Pienaar and Bennie hang up their boots for the national team after this coming world Cup. They have been doing this tricks many times. For the past 12 years we were begging them. And in 2014 they will want to paly for BB so that they will play in the world cup in Brazil. Pity we will accept them again.

I haven't watched many NBC games but after watching Downs vs Bucs over the weekend one thing i noticed is that Downs players are so professional. I couldn't help but watch my Bucs players showing no commitment at all as if they were winning. I mean how do you start defending with 30 mins to go??? A better coach (than Krol) would tell his players to continue being offensive, instead he brought in Mashego who was very lazy on the day. Sh*t!

They say money can't buy you trophies but it can certainly buy you quality and professional players. I think Downs deserve this cup. Mokoena showed his potential and Vilakazi was his old self.
