King Faisal coach Zdravko Lugaracic has defended himself against accusations that he sent the club's player Frank Acheampong on trials in Croatia without their permission.
The Croatian has built a fine reputation for himself since taking charge of Faisal but the Acheampong incident is threatening to erode that even though the coach insist he had no clandestine hand in the player's departure.
"How can I send Frank Acheampong to Croatia," he asked. "Can I organise documents for him, can I organise a visa for him? Now you explain to me how I can send him to Croatia or anywhere else.
"What I can do is only to recommend him to some clubs in Europe and say I have a very good player here who is good enough for Europe so they invite him for trials. That is my only power. After that I can do nothing."
