Emmanuel Agyemang Badu's club season is over after picking up a knee injury on Sunday but the Ghana midfielder will be fit in time for the World Cup.
Badu had tests on his injured knee on Monday and tells kickoffGhana.com the result says he will be out for only two weeks which keeps his South Africa 2010 hopes perfectly alive.
“Doctors say it is nothing serious and that I would need two weeks on the sidelines. I am relieved because it means I am in no danger of missing the World Cup”, Badu tells kickoffGhana.com.
The Udinese player came on as a 49th minute substitute for his club over the weekend but went off 26 minutes later.
With Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac due to name his provisional squad of 30 before preparations begin on 24 May in Paris, Badu is now almost certain to be part of the party.
But the injury means an end to his first season in Italian football with two rounds of matches remaining
