It’s about that that time of the year where Kaizer Chiefs, together with the sponsors, square up on a different kind of green, trading their soccer jerseys for golf shirts and golf clubs and all in the name of charity at the Annual Kaizer Chiefs Executive Golf Day 2010.
This year’s event promises more excitement and flair as the Chiefs technical team of Vladimir Vermezovic, Ace Khuse and Dave Milner will take to the field. Also taking part this year will be some members of the senior team.
“This is a very special year for the Kaizer Chiefs family as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary and we want to share the success the team has enjoyed over the years on and off the field with all our supporters,” Chiefs marketing director Jessica Motaung says.
The Kaizer Chiefs Executive Golf Day is a well established and highly-anticipated event on the corporate calendar. The tradition started in 2004 with the inaugural golf day at the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Course. It was very successful and enjoyed by all. Since then, the event has grown from strength to strength.
The main aim of the Golf Day is to provide an atmosphere where business executives, sponsors, partners and others that are seeking to improve their market share, network connections, customer loyalty, and social investment can come together under the Kaizer Chiefs umbrella and have a fun-filled day at the golf course.
It has raised a substantial amount of cash for charity, and provided donations as well as value in kind contributions. This year, Chiefs wants to continue to raise more money for charity at this important event.
