Ghana on course for Nigeria meeting

Ghana crushed Burkina Faso 4-0 on Wednesday to stay on course for a much anticipated meeting with rivals Nigeria in the Final of the WAFU Cup tournament in Abeokuta.

A brace from Ansah Owusu Edward and further goals from Idan Bismarck and Kpodo Edward helped the local Black Stars to a handsome win and a place in the semi-final of the tournament as group winners.

Topping the group means that the two powerhouses avoid each other in the semi-finals.
In the other group game, Liberia beat Togo 3-2, but both sides were eliminated.

Ghana will meet Senegal in the first semi-final which kicks off at 15h00 on Friday, while Nigeria take on Burkina Faso two hours later.

Both games will be played at Abeokuta.

@ Colin Udoh, plz give us proper news, you are attaching so much importance to this road side tournament called WAFU cup. I listened to u on TALKSPORT radio in London and you sounded superb. So i believe you have what it takes to source for solid stories, stop messing about.

You this Ghanaian ,you wanna know why you would forever be /or feel inferior to Nigerians? Bcos you are on the Nigerian section of this site.
