Mugeyi: No six-pack from Chiefs

"We got a six-pack when we played Golden Arrows in the MTN8 Final earlier this season, but that won't happen when we play Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday," was the bold declaration that Ajax Cape Town assistant coach Wilfred Mugeyi made at a press conference earlier today.
Mugeyi was referring to the 6-0 drubbing they received from Arrows in the MTN8 Final played at the Orlando Stadium.
"Arrows played well on the day, their tactics worked well on that occasion. I think Chiefs will look to play in a similar way. But we'll be ready for them. We want to win this trophy for the supporters and whoever is associated with the club," adds Mugeyi.
But Chiefs assistant Donald ‘Ace' Khuse who was also in attendance at the conference said: "We just want to make sure that we reward our supporters. The guys are on a high at the moment, we've been in really good form during the past month or so. Therefore we are fairly confident about our chances."
Khuse did point out that their one area of concern for their camp was goal scoring during regulation time.
The last time the Amakhosi found the back of the net in this competition was when Mandla Masango netted during their 1-0 win against Mamelodi Sundowns in a Last 16 match.
"Playing two games without scoring has become a bit of a worry for us. But we've been working on cooling the minds of the players when they get into the box. I'm sure we'll get it right in the final," added Khuse.
