The Ajax Cape Town players will share half of the prize-money up for grabs in the Telkom Knockout Cup Final against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday night.
The victors will win R4 million, with the losing side pocketing R1.5 million.
Urban Warriors utility man Nhlanhla Shabalala reveals that there is an on-going agreement between club management and the players.
"There is long-time understanding between players and the club that prize-money will be split 50-50.
"It's a good thing that this agreement stands as it means there are no distractions ahead of the game," he said.
Shabalala received the Man-of-the-Match award against AmaZulu in the 2-0 semi-final win, despite playing out of position at centre back.
He is unsure at this stage whether or not he will be used in the same role for the final, as central defenders Clayton Daniels and Deniss Ivanovs return from suspension.
"The coach has not yet discussed with us who will be playing where. The guys who are coming back had been doing well before they were suspended, so I will understand if they are brought back in," said the 24-year-old.
Coach Foppe de Haan, however, suggested at a press conference ahead of the game that Daniels will start, but that Ivanovs may be on the bench.
The Dutch coach also said that he is preparing his side for a possible penalty shoot-out.
"We have been practicing all week. The players keep on taking penalties until they miss, then they do 50 push-ups!" he said.
The defending champions will be missing the suspended Sameehg Doutie, as well as Brett Evans and Derek Decamps, but other than that they have a clean bill of health.
