Kaizer Chiefs target, Rwandan national team captain Olivier Karekezi has joined Jabu Mahlangu at Osters If in Sweden.
Amakhosi coach Vladimir Vermezovic was keen to sign the Wasps' skipper who impressed in trials at Naturena recently. If Jose Torrealba leaves Chiefs then Karekezi was expected to replace him.
Karekezi is also highly regarded by Orlando Pirates midfielder Isaac Chansa with whom he played at Helsingborgs
While revealing that Karekezi had signed a two-year deal with Osters, KickOff.com's source also disclosed that the reason for Jabu Mahlangu's absence from the team's line up in their most recent match was because of an administrative hitch.
"There's no problem at all with Jabu. He seems to like it here very much here and seems happy. He wasn't in our line-up in the last game, which was a Cup game. I believe he is not allowed to play in competition games yet (something to do with paper work), but he played 90 minutes with the reserves three days ago."
Osters' sporting director Sven Johannesson reveals more when he says: "We are waiting for Safa to confirm the permit to the Swedish Football Association. However, we are having difficulties in getting in touch with the right people in South Africa."
Johannesson adds that he has also been trying to get in touch with the directors of Mahlangu's last club, Platinum Stars over the past few days without success.
