Amaglug-glug have brought in Kaizer Chiefs’ midfielder Wayne Matle to replace injured Clifford Ngobeni, who has been withdrawn from the team to face Denmark in an international friendly this week.

Director of national teams Barney Kujane confirmed the latest development and added that Moroka Swallows’ defender Vincent Kobola has also been drafted in the squad that was expected to report for camp in Johannesburg.

Orlando Pirates’ Innocent Mdledle, Senzo Meyiwa and Lebohang Mokoena are expected to join the squad on Monday after participating in the Asiphephe Road Safety Tournament in Durban at the weekend.

Kujane added that the first game between South Africa’s Under-23s and Denmark will be played on Wednesday at Eldorado Park Stadium starting at 16h00. The second game is billed for Caledonian Stadium in Tshwane on Saturday at 15h00.
