Money behind Stoitchkov clash?

The Bulgarian media say that Hristo Stoitchkov’s clash with the hierarchy at Mamelodi Sundowns is all about money.
One newspaper says on its website that ‘the Dagger’ as Stoitchov is known is his native land, has received around R9-million since he joined them nine months ago, at the start of the 2009/2010 season.
The newspaper says that officials at the Chloorkop-based club have resented this because they claimed that they did all the training and hard work, while he draws the big money.
The paper makes no mention of the fact that Stoitchkov’s assistants, Antonio Lopez and Miguel Gonzalez, have also been given the bullet.
Earlier reports about Stoitchov’s dismissal indicated that he was not prepared to accept the terms of a new contract offered to him, however suggestions in these reports were that the fiery tempered Bulgarian legend objected to the restrictions on his behaviour and were also performance related.
