The Obuasi club who only last season were battling to stay in the premier division have been resurrected under the leadership of chief executive Cudjoe Fianoo and coach David Duncan and now lead the standings on goal difference from defending champions Accra Hearts of Oak.
With eight round of matches remaining, Fianoo feels they have the bottle to hold off any further challenge even though there as many as seven other clubs including Hearts, Liberty, Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko all in with a mathematical chance of winning it.
"We have not been in this position in a long time but we have come a long way from battling relegation last season to being on top this term and I have an absolute faith in the ability of David Duncan to hold on and win" Fianoo said.
Sunday throws up the first major challenge of that new found faith when they travel to Accra to face in-form Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park.
