Parreira 'satisfied' with draw

Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira considers the goalless draw against Cruzeiro at the Mineirao Stadium a 'good result'.

The trainer acknowledged that the Brazilian team had the better of exchanges on the field and says he is satisfied with Bafana's performance.

"The Cruz dominated the game, but we, through good positioning, prevented defeat. We had two opportunities in the final minutes that could have ended in goals for us, but the final result showed that our positioning throughout was good."

Parreira, talking to the Brazilian media after the game, admitted that the South Africans were nervous at the start of the game because they were playing at a major Brazil stadium and against a side steeped in the country's soccer history.

"We need only to gain more confidence by playing together. Our players are young people and feel the weight of responsibility. What we must improve on is more confidence when on the ball and more accurate passing. But this will come in the up-coming games. For us, the result was good and encouraging."

Parreira added that the meeting between the two sides had been more useful to the visitors than the hosts who have a busy schedule contesting the League and Liberatores Cup.

"We want to thank Cruzeiro for having us here, not only for playing against their senior team in Mineirao but also the warm welcome we have received in Brazil since touching down at the airport," he adds.

VUVU; i would say though we need Nomvethe you will agree with me that our current strikers have a hard time finding the net, Bhele can run and take defenders one on one can create chances and score goals
with his current foam i think he is the missing piece of the puzzle.
Mexico have Javier who is very good the boy can run and scores we need to match that, and not forgeting Mexicans have big respect for Bhele after what he did to them last time they met during Concacaf
