Avril Phali will go down with Jomo Cosmos

Posted: 17 March 2010 Time: 07:39 pm

Ezenkosi goalkeeper Avril Phali has committed himself to going down to First Division with Jomo Cosmos next season.

However, a number of Jomo Sono's relegated squad, like Bongani Theletsane,Thabiso Hlelele and Larry Cohen, have indicated that they will remain in PSL next season.

Cohen has already signed with Bidvest Wits whilst Theletsane is reported to be on wanted list of Orlando Pirates for next season.

Phali tells KickOff.com that he has decided to remain loyal to Bra J next season.

"I am like furniture at the club and can't move. I have been with Jomo through thick and thin and will remain with him in the First Division next year."

'Chawe', who is one of the longest serving members at Cosmos also pleaded with Sono to remain the coach next season.

"To bring another person in now will be like starting everything afresh. Its better to keep someone that understands the team and the players very well.

"I think Jomo should only consider getting a new coach once the team returns to the Premier League," he adds.
