Old order restored in Glo League

Ghana's traditional giants are beginning to assert themselves at the top of the Glo Premier League after new clubs had threatened to upset the order.
Aduana Stars have mounted a strong challenge for the League title but their 0-1 loss at Kessben FC knocked them off the top of the league table finally with AshantiGold, three-time champions in the 90s and Accra Hearts of Oak, the defending champions now in pole position.
AshantiGold earned their top place thanks to a 1-0 won over Real Tamale United and are ahead of Hearts of Oak on goal difference who once again inflicted defeat on Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
With eight rounds of games left, Hearts will feel confident they can add another league title to the many they have collected in the past.
Kotoko were hoping to make this a three horse race but defeat to Hearts leaves them seven points off the pace and with too much work to do.
