Guus Hiddink has said he will not coach Ivory Coast at the World Cup, preferring to stay committed to his future role as Turkey boss.
Reports in the Netherlands claimed Hiddink had agreed to lead the African side through their campaign in South Africa. But, upon reflection, Hiddink has confirmed his stance on the idea.
"If I had signed for Ivory Coast, then I would have missed these games and to tell the truth I don't think that's something for me to do," Hiddink wrote in De Telegraaf, referring to Turkey's friendly matches against Ireland, Czech Republic and the United States.
Ivory Coast thus continues their search for a new man to lead at the helm.
Their World Cup kicks off on June 15 against Portugal. They then play Brazil and North Korea in Group G.
