Bright to replace Palmer

Having parted ways with Ian Palmer, United FC are set to appoint former Santos coach David Bright as their new coach.

Bright, who is currently without job after his former club Bay United announced that they were closing shop recently, has beat Sheppard Murape who was also earmarked to lead the Free State-based side in the First Division next season.

Club manager Richard Makhoba has confirmed to KickOff.com that their negotiations with Bright to lead the team next season are now at an advanced stage and that Bright was scheduled to meet with the chairman to conclude the deal.

Makhoba also dismissed allegations made by former coach Palmer that he and some of the club players are owed salaries for last month.

"All the payments went through last week Thursday and it is obvious that some of the players who use different banks did not get their money on the same day.

"We only had one problem and that was with Patrick Thwala as were waiting for him to give us details of his new bank account," he adds.
