Bucs want to make The Ghost smile

Orlando Pirates midfielder Josephy Kamwendo has appealed for patience from the Bucs' fans, following a forgettable season in which the Soweto Giants ended a disappointing fifth and bowed out of the CAF Champions League in the preliminary stages.
Admitting that the fans have a reason to be angry with the players, the Malawian international tells KickOff.com that instead of pointing fingers, the fans should rally behind the team and urge them to deliver this weekend when they clash with Bloemfontein Celtic in a Telkom Knockout match at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
"I am as disappointed as the fans are because our performance of late has not been convincing. A fifth position in the League and losing to a Botswana (Gaborone United) club is not good for a team like Pirates," says Kamwendo.
"That has happened and instead of them blaming the players and the coach, I want to appeal to our fans to come in their large numbers and support us as we bid to make them smile in the Telkom Knockout tournament."
Kamwendo said that the club's problem has been in the last third of the season, where they failed to convert the numerous chances they created.
However, he promised that Saturday's game against Siwele would be different.
"We worked hard on our finishing, which has been letting us down of late and I believe that the Celtic game will prove this.
"The League campaign is over and the cup games are a different game altogether. We will give it our all so that we end the season at least with something to show for it," Kamwendo adds.
